IKAN BAKAR LEMAK PANDAN (Translating to "burned fish," ikan bakar is the catch-all term for small grilled swimmers. You'll often see it wrapped in a banana leaf before it goes on the grill, so that the leaf gets direct heat contact, rather than the fish itself; it's generally marinated in a blend of turmeric, chilis, belacan, galangal, and those other now-familiar ingredients, and served with sambal.)

Sweet cake, as sweet and pretty as its name. This is one of the popular Indonesian traditional cakes, that easy to be found in markets, local bakery and even some famous bakery. Sate Babi - Indonesian Pork Satay. Uses pork roast in cubes, lime, soy sauce, garlic, chili, galangal (can use a mix of lemongrass and turmeric instead) chili, coriander, and cumin.

I've been searching for the sweet pork satay I used to have when I was in Indonesia and I'm not so sure if it's the one.

This luscious Indonesian dish is traditionally eaten with white rice, but it is also wonderful with crusty Italian bread.
