Book bound for Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn
A copy of La Saincte Bible en Francoys, translated by Jacques Lefevre d’Etaples, vol.II. This copy form Antwerp was made in 1534 and was specially bound for Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. Crowned Tudor roses and ‘HA’ ciphers appear on the binding of both volumes together with evangelical texts in French.
