What else can you piece together? Remember that light shining through similar pieces really can make a piece great!! Instead of the cobalt bottles in the plasma engine, how about the bottles inside of something like this, or even something sculpted out of copper wire. Think of geometric patterns that would make cool shadows, i.e., like SP shadow puppets. It would reflect off of the glass kind of like the Haunted Castle in Disneyland.
