The fur grosses me out, but come on, that's stunning! A feather and fur hat from 1939 that would surely draw every eye in the room to it.

Even hairpins disappeared from the market, so women could not put up their hair. Hats attracted women’s attention and their styles became much more varied because they could cover undressed hair and bring quick elegance to plain clothing; in addition, they were not regulated it

1945-50. A coral red velvet pillar box with small shaped rim in the style of a 19th century riding hat by Otto Lucas. The black net veil has tiny tufts of soft black 'fur' dotted throughout and this can be worn upon the black wings and velvet decoration or covering the face. The hat was provided with matching hatpins, there ends made of small velvet balls.
