Evening dress, c. 1932 Light green satin evening dress, c. 1932. This stylish gown with a magnificent Art Deco design rhinestone ornamentation on the back was worn by the donor’s sister, Eleanor Rutledge Hanson (1894-1966) for her second court visit at Buckingham Palace in 1932. There is a matching shoulder cape.
VELVET and LACE DESHABILLE, with WIZARD SLEEVES, 1930’s. Black bias cut silk panne velvet wrap with off center self button and loop closure, having sheer ecru Alencon lace bodice top and applique to velvet, curved skirt gores, lace topped long, pointed sleeve open from above the elbow, inside tie at waist.
