Marilyn Maxwell (August 3, 1921 - March 20, 1972) was an American actress & entertainer noted for her blonde hair & sexy persona. She began as a radio singer while in her teens & signed with MGM in 1942. She entertained the troops (World War II & Korean War) on USO tours with Bob Hope. Allegedly, their long-term affair was so open that the Hollywood community routinely referred to her as "Mrs. Bob Hope." The song "Silver Bells" made its debut in The Lemon Drop Kid (1951), sung by Maxwell & Hope.
