This is 18th century sewing roll (housewife/hussif) tailored with natural fabrics. A hussif or huswif is an 18th-century term for a basic sewing kit (case). If you look up the word Hussif, you will see it described as an alternative form of 'housewife' which originally meant a sewing-case. Traditional hussifs were a long strip of fabric 6 to 8 inches wide, with pockets stitched across the width of the fabric to hold sewing tools. You can roll the hussif up or fold it in order to store it. Hussif tailored with good cotton, linen and silk fabrics. Its sotally made from natural fabrics. Lenght of hussif is 40cm, and wide is 14cm. We offer hussif with fill and without fill. With fill we add: scissors, a thimble, two wooden flat spools, a case for needles (with needles), a thick needle for ribbons. You can check on last three photos.
