Laura Bell (1829–1894) was dubbed the 'Queen of London whoredom', Bell was a famous courtesan in the 19th century. She allegedly once earned the equivalent of £250,000 for a single night spent with Prince Jang Bahadur of Nepal. Later in life she underwent a dramatic religious conversion and became a revivalist preacher on morality.
