Laurent was born in the early 1700s in Paris, France, into an aristocratic but financially embarrassed family during the reign of King Louis XIV. He was a member of James' covent until James' death.He went to Alaska to join the "vegetarian " Denali covent. During this stay he takes a special liking to a vampire named Irina. The infatuation is not strong enough to keep him there.He goes off on his own leaving a hurt Irina.
