The Royal Bakery - An ancient Egyptian pyramid cake for Evelyn Rose who is having her 7th birthday party at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose today! She asked for some palm trees and Egyptian black cats to go with her pyramid. Her name was cut from a Wilton Sugar Sheet using the Silhouette Cameo. I then painted the letters gold. Hard to get an idea of size from this photo, but the cake was 12" square at the base, and 10.5" tall. It served 63! At least that's what my calculations told me (volume of a pyramid [in this case 504 cubic inches] divided by 8 [which is the volume of a 1" x 2" x 4" serving of cake] = 63). The pyramid's mysteries revealed two flavors of cake - three layers of white cake with fresh straweberry SMBC on the bottom and four layers of chocolate cake with salted caramel SMBC on the top. There were so many cakes scraps that I made cake pops! I'm not the most accomplished popper, but they didn't fall off the stick and they looked roundish. :-) I hope Evelyn and her friends will like them. | Facebook

How To Build A Pyramid For A School Project

A popular school project is for students to make model pyramids of their own. Making a realistic pyramid model for a class project can be easy and inexpensive.
