Fired up Friday. 🔥 For the record, I believe in God, but there is no fucking way that he's done all the work for me. Do I believe he's guided me and helped me at times through not only my sobriety journey but life? Absolutely! Him, my spirit guides, and my grandparents for sure are there for me. But I'm giving credit to myself too, and here's why. Quotes, Mindfulness, God, Believe In God, Sober Quotes, Spirit Guides, Sober, Giving, Life

This topic comes up a lot with my 1:1 clients and challenge participants. The comparison game. The thoughts of, "they have it all together and enjoy this sober life, so why can't I be like that too." Or "everyone successful in sobriety meditates, so that means I HAVE to do it too to be successful." First, there are many pathways to sobriety. That notion that you have to read all the quit lit, listen to all the sober podcasts, meditate for 15 minutes every day, Thoughts, Stop Comparing, Meant To Be, Quites, Sober Life, Word Search Puzzle, Podcasts
Stop comparing your sobriety journey with some random person on the internet.

the quote just because aa is free doesn't mean every single resources to get sobber has to be free
Just because AA is free doesn't mean every single resource to get sober has to be free.
I may be opening a can of worms. 😬 I was going to write about this today, anyway, and then I had a random woman in my DM saying I'm a horrible human for charging for services and shouldn't make money. I should just give my time and energy to others who are struggling because I was once there. And then she assumed I was living this extravagant lifestyle. Now that's hilarious, but still, no one's business what I do with my money.
Who's bright idea was it for my son to be on 3 different soccer teams in the Fall? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Just over here being a business owner, helping women rid themselves of the toxic drinking cycle, and trying to keep it together with when my son's practices and games are. Plus side is I get 9 hours of uninterrupted time during the day, so I'll take it! Alcohol, Bottom Of The Bottle, Life Experiences, Lie, Bottle
There's only superficial joy found at the bottom of the bottle.

I no longer need alcohol to save me. I save my own damn self. 👉🏻 I used alcohol to save me in social situations. 👉🏻 I used alcohol to save me from the overwhelming emotions that I didn't want to feel. 👉🏻 I used alcohol to save me from myself. But now, I don't need a toxic substance to do that for me anymore because I've shown up for myself on days I didn't want to. Feelings, Toxic, Save Me, Self, Emotions

The shame and stigma that comes with quitting booze is utter bullshit. You quit smoking, and everyone congratulates you. They don't ask why. They are just proud of you for flicking that last cigarette to the curb. As I'm typing this, I got an intuitive hit that maybe some of that has to do with how they won't have to inhale your secondhand smoke or smell it on you anymore. Quit Drinking, Stop Eating, Quit Smoking, Whats Wrong, Smelling

My business coach and I were talking, and this came up. How fucking powerful is this? Literally, the return on the investment of my sobriety is my whole life. Every single thing that I have is because of my sobriety. 💥 A clear mind to pursue what I wanted to do, NOT what somebody told me to do. 💥 Helping women on a global scale break a pattern that they've relied on for YEARS. One of the most asked questions I get from my 1:1 clients, and challenge participants is, do you still have cravings for alcohol? The short answer is yes. BUT they are fleeting and are few and far between. Honestly, I don't think the cravings ever stop. Sometimes mine pop up when I'm watching a show that romanticizes alcohol or when all the craziness in 2020 started; my mind went there because... I was scared. It was what brought me comfort back in the day. Pop, How Are You Feeling, Most Asked Questions, Still Have

Hear me out.👇🏻 I truly believe that if I didn't have my son, I wouldn't be sober today. He gave me the external motivation to stop self-destructing because he needed me. He deserved a mother who wasn't consumed with when her next drink would be or spending the days laid in bed or hugging the toilet. So yes, he was my initial motivator, but as time has passed, I'm sober for ME. He can't keep me sober because that's not his job. What happens when he goes to college and moves out? People, Motivation, Shit Happens, Say You
People say you can't get sober for anyone else but yourself. I call BS on that.

Top hydrating tip for the Summer. Don't drink alcohol.
For some, this may mean day drinking on the beach, sitting outside on the patio with a cold beer in your hand, or sitting by the fire pit on those chilly nights with your favorite alcoholic beverage of choice. 👉🏻 What if I told you you could do all of this but swap out your favorite non-alcoholic beverage instead? 👉🏻 What if I told you that getting through all the Summer holidays without a hangover the next day is possible?

I know what you're thinking; how can I possibly tell my family and friends what I'm going through? It would set me up for more shame, fear of judgment, and even more thoughts of why can't I just be normal. I AM NOT telling you to out yourself to all your closest friends and family and make a social media post about how you're struggling with your alcohol consumption. If you want to do that, then I ABSOLUTELY would encourage you to do that, but you don't have to. The Secret, Friends, Judgment, Hold On, Closest Friends, Close Friends
The secret of your struggle with alcohol you're hiding and holding in isn't allowing you to heal.

How many of you have done this? I did. It's madness what we put ourselves through for a poison that's destroying our mind, body, and soul. Don't celebrate the fact that you went 30 days without drinking by then turning to alcohol. Celebrate that you went 30 days without alcohol and keep going to experience even more benefits. an image with the quote, i have accepted fear as part of life - specifically the fear of change i have gone ahead despite
Change
Why do we resist change so much? Fear. Fear that it won't work. Fear that it will. Our brains like comfort and safety. When we step outside of our comfort zone, our brain views it as a danger zone and says, "Nope, not today. You're not changing, or else you'll die."
