No Birth Ball - 5 Minute Birth Prep Routine!
The goal with this routine is to open up different levels of your pelvis as well as release muscular tension throughout your trunk and hips! While I do LOVE my birth ball for pelvic floor prep for birth, I know you might not always have it with you — especially if you’re traveling this summer. Set a timer for 5 minutes and let me know how you feel after this circuit 🖤 Join my 37 week Movement Through Pregnancy program if you want more guidance on how to stay active, reduce pain and prepare for birth 🙌 www.drmaehughes.com

SPD or pubic bone pain during pregnancy?
Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction (PSD or Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) is a condition that many pregnant women experience, most commonly in the third trimester. SPD typically occurs when there is excessive movement at the joint causing pain with movement. This may be due to hormonal changes which loosen the ligaments and joints in preparation for labor, additional weight and pressure on the joint, misalignment of the joint, prior injury and muscular weakness.

Rib Flare: What to Do Postpartum Rib flare during pregnancy is normal, but postpartum, it’s important to start working on bringing those ribs back down and in. 🩻 Why?
