#Fairtrade #Batik Industry
We often get asked why we never do a sale. But what does a sale mean? It means you're producing more than what the world needs - and that piece's value has to be lowered to get rid of it. But we wanna do things differently. We take out the things that don't add value to you: middlemen, retail markups, and sales tricks so you know exactly where your money goes. Not for marketing campaigns - but to change lives. #MadeRight #VillagesNotFactories
The people behind our KUPU collection
Starting with only 3 women, our Jlamprang village initiative now has trained and provided fair employment for 25 artisans. Every day, they come together to craft KUPU by hand, first tracing it with pencil and afterwards with hot wax. Like our handwriting, each is one-of-a-kind.
#Indigo Coloring Process
We believe you have the right to know what you are supporting. At SukkhaCitta, we go beyond fair trade. Because the world does not need another fashion brand. That's why we're constantly out of the office, running trainings that allow these craftswomen to thrive. This is the core of our work - access to education is key to lasting change. With every purchase, you make this possible. Thank you for changing the world with us. #MadeRight #VillagesNotFactories
Our very first #Batik Collection
Looking back to our first collection "KUPU". Inspired from the butterfly effect found in nature, where small things lead to big change. Interpreted into a modern and minimal pattern, we found it to be the perfect symbol to inspire Courage in us: dreamers, seekers, wanderers, as we pursue our dreams.
#Batik Artisan in Gesikharjo
A quick capture from our last training in Gesikharjo Village. They are currently learning about natural dye and still improving the quality of it. You can find their collection called 'Seribu Bunga' on our website.
