Add a ton of fun to practicing place value by filling 1 of 7 basket choices with a variety of paper eggs. Some of the eggs have patterns, while others feature base 10 blocks. Print on vibrant colors of construction paper. Students (K-3) select their eggs, add some shading with crayons, then figure out the "value" of their basket. Three, worksheets guide them through the process of figuring out a 2, 3 or 4-digit number and its place value parts. Outstanding spring display for the hall.

Students have an absolute blast decorating a paper gingerbread cookie, with a variety of place value pieces. Afterwards, they count things up to arrive at a value for their cookie. 3 worksheets reinforce the various PV concepts. "Snow" much fun for kiddos to make a PVS (Place Value Snowman). Children use the 1s, 10s & even 100s blocks to decorate a snowman, then add up their totals and figure out place value. Easy enough for kindergartners with 2 digit numbers, as well as for older kiddos who make 3 & 4 digit- valued snowmen. Completed projects turn out adorable & make a sweet winter bulletin board. FREE place value sliders for each month. Pull the number strips through the slits to display 1's, 10's, 100's. Students tell how many of each, then jot down called out numbers and show > or <. Ask them to make a number 10 more or 10 less to practice addition & subtraction. Great way to whole-group assess.
