Maryna Boltuts on Instagram: "Tu Hwnt I’r Bont is a beautiful, historic grade II listed 15th-century tearoom in Llanrwst, North Wales. A little bit of history! This house was originally built around 1480 as a farmhouse and residential dwelling. Back then, Llanrwst’s main trade was wool. Later on, the building was used as a courthouse for the surrounding area. Over the centuries, this historic home lost favour as a courtroom due to its size, and eventually, it fell into disrepair. Eventually, in the 1950s, the National Trust acquired the property for its protection and decided to lease it to locals in the town. 📍Ty Hwnt I’R Bont Cafe, Llanrwst LL26 0PL Open from 10am till 5pm. #wales #tearooms #explore_britain_ #explorewales #visitwales #ukdaily #travelidea #travelplanner #unit

a bridge that has some plants growing on top of it and the words hidden gems in north wales
Maryna Boltuts on Instagram: "‼️P.S. Tu Hwnt i'r Bont, a famous tearoom in Llanrwst, North Wales, has undergone a big change. The National Trust trimmed back its iconic red creeper to protect the historic building's roof. While some are sad about the change, the plant will regrow over time. The tearoom also has new owners and will reopen on March 19. Step into history at this 15th-century tearoom, where ivy-covered walls change with the seasons, creating the most picturesque setting in Llanrwst. For the most picturesque visit, late September to early October is ideal when the ivy is at its peak red color! 🍁📸 ☕ Enjoy traditional Welsh cream teas & homemade cakes in a cozy, vintage atmosphere. 🏡 Once a courthouse, now a charming café, steeped in history & character. 📸 A photographe
