Castleboro House was originally built in 1770 by the Carew family | Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, Ireland. An accidental fire in 1840 destroyed most of it and then it was rebuilt to incorporate the surviving west wing but another fire started by local IRA sympathizers in 1923 destroyed the house completely. It now lies as one of the finest ruins in Ireland.
