Dr Anne Summers AO is a best-selling author, journalist and thought-leader with a long career in politics, the media, business and the non-government sector in Australia, Europe and the United States. Cate Kennedy has been published both in Australia, where she makes her home, and internationally. Her books include the novel ‘The World Beneath’ and the short story collections ‘Dark Roots’ and ‘Like a House on Fire’, as well as a travel memoir about her time living and working in Mexico entitled ‘Sing, and Don’t Cry; a Mexican Journal’. She is also a prize-winning poet, with her most recent collection, ‘The Taste of River Water’, winning the Victorian Premier’s Award for Poetry in 2011.

Robin de Crespigny was born and schooled in Victoria. She graduated from La Trobe University and travelled through Asia and Mexico before returning to Sydney. Robin was the Directing Lecturer at the Australian Film, Television & Radio School for six years from 1996. In 2008 she began writing a screenplay about the life of Ali Al Jenabi. After six months of wrestling with the epic breadth of his journey, she realised a book would serve this story better. #writer #penulis #UWRF13 #festival

He is a media producer and the creator of a highly acclaimed biography-like Manga series which has been published in 10 languages and in over 25 countries.
