If I was an insect! 🦋🐛🐞Pseudocreobotra wahlbergi, or 'Spiny Flower Mantis', is native to southern and eastern Africa. It's prominent eyespot startles would-be predators, but it is itself a predator on a range of insects. While at rest it is well camouflaged - a fiendish mimic of the flowers it frequents - so that any passing insects that attempt to pollinate it is quickly seized and eaten.
