This is a month to rejuvenate your soul, cleanse and purify it; seek His abundant Mercy. So make use of it, to the fullest. Better yourself. For Him. For yourself.

Ramadan Reinspired: Day Nine In this blessed month, Muslims are encouraged to beautify & develop their characters, especially their manners when dealing with people. Conveying gratitude by saying ‘thanks’ when someone has done us a favour is a part of Good manners. However is there something better than just thanks? The Prophet (SWS) said: “Whoever has a favour done for him and says to the one who did it, ‘Jazak Allaahu khayran,’ has done enough to thank him.” (Tirmidhi)

Ramadan Reinspired: Day Eighteen Although it is very common, Ramadan is really not the time to tweet photos or update Facebook statuses about how much khushoo’ you felt and how the words of Allah are piercing your heart. Let’s keep that between us and Allah. Let’s try to keep ourselves away from social networking and use that time to bring ourselves closer to Allah and improve our position in the sight of Allah.

Ramadan Reinspired: Day Twenty Four Do you find it hard staying up all night for Tahajjud? Did you know that in the last third of the night, Allah SWT descends to the lowest heavens in a way that befits His Majesty to hear and answer our heartfelt supplications? Let’s make an effort to wake up some time before Suhoor to make good use of this opportunity. Don’t be heedless and asleep in your bed while the doors of His Mercy are wide open for you. Ramadan Reinspired: Day Fourteen We all have our own worries and problems that stress us out. But all difficulties have an end, and soon your problems will vanish too. If only we remembered and sought help from the one who created a solution for every problem, they won’t last very long. Ramadan is the best time to make a change and turn and focus your attention towards Allah in Salah. If you feel that your problems are a locked door, then Allah has the key. Seek it through Sabr & Salah.

Ramadan Reinspired: Day Sixteen The most beloved salah after the Fardh prayers is Tahajjud, where a believer leaves his bed and wakes up while the world is sleeping, just to glorify his Lord in the darkness of the night. Is there anything more beautiful than this?

Ramadan Reinspired: Day Fifteen The next time you are going to pray, pay some attention to the quality of your salah and spend a considerate amount of time in perfecting your actions. Don’t be like Mr. Speedy Gonzales who prays as if he’s on the run from the police and he must get these two nawafil in before getting caught. Praying 2 rakahs with complete attention and perfect actions is better than praying 4 super quick ones.

Ramadan Reinspired: Day Ten Many men think that housework is beneath them, and some of them think that it will undermine their status and position if they help the womenfolk at home. This was not the attitude of best man to ever walk on the face of this earth - Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SWS)

Ramadan Reinspired: Day Eight To most of us, Ramadan has rather become a month of feasting than fasting. We make sure that our bellies are filled to the maximum at Suhoor and at Iftar but we fail to realize that what really needs to be fed above the line this month, is our soul. Since Shaitan is locked up in Ramadan, this is the perfect time to explore our inner capability to get closer than ever to our Creator.
